What clients ask us

Tap a question below. Consultations are free and there is no obligation to book.

Are tattoo consultations free?

Yes, consultations are completely free. You sit with an artist, share your ideas, and get honest feedback on design, placement, sizing, and price range. There is no obligation to book a tattoo that day.

How do I book a tattoo consultation?

Call 737-222-5355, use our contact page, or walk in during shop hours. We are open Tuesday 10am to 4pm and Wednesday through Saturday, 11am to 7pm. Tell us your idea and preferred artist if you have one. Appointments are preferred so you are not waiting behind tattoo sessions. If you are outside the area or would prefer a video consultation, let us know. Bring reference photos when you can.

How long does a tattoo consultation take?

Most take 20 to 45 minutes. Simple ideas may need fifteen minutes. Sleeves, cover-ups, or multi-session projects can run closer to an hour. We do not rush you out. Leave with clear next steps, even if that means thinking it over for a week.

What should I bring?

Reference images, even rough ones from your phone. Photos of the body area for placement talk. Allergies, skin conditions, or medications that might affect healing. Photos of old work if this is a cover-up. Valid ID if you might tattoo the same day.

Can I get a tattoo the same day as my consultation?

Sometimes, if the design is simple, the artist has an open slot, and you are ready to commit. Many clients consult first and book later, especially for custom, cover-up, or large work. We will not rush a tattoo to fill a chair.

Who will I meet with?

An artist or a front-desk teammate who connects you with the right person. Fine line and realism often go to Daniel. Neo-traditional and lettering often go to Betty. Traditional and folk art often go to Shannon. Illustrative work often goes to Amanda or Jordan. Cover-ups depend on your old tattoo. Your artist names who fits at the consult. You can request someone specific when you book.

Do I need a consultation for a small walk-in tattoo?

Not always. Tiny symbols, flash, and minimal script can often happen as walk-ins. Custom art, unusual placement, or size uncertainty are worth a free consult first. When in doubt, book fifteen minutes to talk.

What happens during a cover-up consultation?

Your artist reviews the old tattoo's size, color, and age. You talk through what you want instead. You get an honest read on whether one session or several are needed, whether laser fading might help, and a rough price range. Some cover-ups need to be larger than clients expect.

Will we talk about pricing?

Yes. Pricing is part of every consult. We cover shop minimums, hourly rates, and estimated totals for your design. We collect a deposit when you book a tattoo session. That is explained upfront so there are no surprises. For ballpark ranges before you visit, use our tattoo pricing tool, then confirm at your consult.

Do consultations include sketches?

Many include rough sketches or iPad mockups, especially for custom work. Complex designs may need a follow-up to finalize art. You approve the design before tattoo day. Do not expect a finished illustration in five minutes, but do expect real progress.

Where are you located and when are you open?

Size, pain, cost, healing time, artist fit, and whether your idea works as a tattoo. Ink sensitivities, touch-up policy, and what happens if you need to reschedule.
