What clients ask us

Tap a question below. Exact details are always confirmed before we start.

How much do small tattoos cost?

Small tattoo pricing depends on size, detail, and placement. Small pieces start at our shop minimum. A palm-sized design with shading costs more than a tiny symbol on your wrist. We quote before we start. Walk-in flash may have set prices on the wall. For ballpark ranges before you visit, use our tattoo pricing tool. Your artist confirms the final price at the counter.

Can I walk in for a small tattoo without an appointment?

We welcome walk-ins Tuesday 10am to 4pm and Wednesday through Saturday, 11am to 7pm. Small tattoos are the easiest walk-in option because they take less time. Availability depends on how booked the day is. Arrive early, bring ID, and have a few backup design ideas. If all artists are in sessions, you may wait or book a same-day slot. Call 737-222-5355 to check same-day availability.

What is the minimum age for a walk-in tattoo?

Texas law requires you to be 18 or older to get a tattoo. We check valid government-issued photo ID for every client, no exceptions. We do not tattoo minors, even with parental consent. Bring your driver's license, state ID, passport, or military ID. If your ID is expired, we cannot proceed.

How long does a small walk-in tattoo take?

Most small walk-in tattoos take 15 to 45 minutes from start to finish. A single-needle fine line heart might be done in twenty minutes. A slightly larger design with light shading could take an hour. We build in setup and aftercare instructions too. Tell the front desk if you are on a lunch break and we will help you plan realistic timing.

What small tattoo designs work for walk-ins?

Simple designs work best for walk-ins: hearts, stars, arrows, small florals, initials, dates, minimalist symbols, and flash art from our shop books. Fine line and tiny script are popular. Very detailed portraits or large pieces need an appointment and consult. Not sure? Walk in and browse flash with an artist. Our team will tell you honestly if your idea fits a walk-in slot or needs more time.

Do you have flash tattoos available for walk-ins?

Yes. We keep flash sheets and pre-drawn designs for walk-in clients who want something quick and affordable. Flash changes over time, so what you see in the shop may differ from online photos. Pick a design, get a price, and often get tattooed the same visit. Flash is great for first tattoos, matching friend tattoos, or adding to a collection without a long design process.

Which artists do small walk-in tattoos?

All five artists take walk-in and small tattoo clients. Betty Rose specializes in neo-traditional, Japanese-influenced work, and lettering. Daniel Whalen focuses on black and grey, fine line, and realism. Shannon Moxie does traditional, folk art, and Japanese-influenced work. Amanda Boyd creates illustrative and neo-traditional pieces with strong black and grey work. Jordan Joyes brings illustrative, floral, and black and grey designs. Ask at the desk who is free and whose portfolio fits your idea.

Do small tattoos hurt less than big tattoos?

Small tattoos usually hurt for a shorter time, but pain depends on placement more than size. Ribs, feet, and fingers sting. Outer arm and calf are milder for most people. A fifteen-minute tattoo still has moments of discomfort. That is normal. Our artists work fast and clean on small pieces. Tell us if you need a breather.

What should I bring to a walk-in tattoo appointment?

Bring reference images, even if they are just photos from your phone. Write down any text you want included, exact placement, and size if you know it. If you have allergies or skin conditions, mention those upfront. Bring a valid government-issued photo ID. Wear clothing that lets your artist see the area you want tattooed. Eat a meal before you come. Avoid alcohol beforehand.

Can I get a small cover-up as a walk-in?

Small cover-ups sometimes work as walk-ins if your old tattoo is tiny and faded. Most need a consultation first. Covering old ink takes planning. Bring photos of your existing tattoo. We are honest about what is possible. Dark or bold old work needs a booked session and a custom plan.

Where are you located, when are you open, and is parking available?

616 S Old Stagecoach Rd, Kyle, TX 78640. Pull into our private driveway and park in front of the shop. No paid garage, no street hunting. Hours: Tuesday 10am to 4pm, Wednesday through Saturday, 11am to 7pm. Closed Monday and Sunday. Walk in during open hours when artists have openings, or call 737-222-5355 to book ahead.

What aftercare do I need for a small walk-in tattoo?

Your artist sends you home with our Extended Wear aftercare sheet and an open door if you need us. Keep the film on for three to five days unless your artist says otherwise. Remove it gently under running water and fragrance-free liquid soap. Wash with your hands, pat dry, and apply a thin layer of fragrance-free moisturizer. Your tattoo should not look wet. Wash daily for the next two to three weeks, and again if it gets dirty. Moisturize daily during that same window, but do not overuse lotion. Avoid swimming, direct sun, and soaking until healed. Do not pick scabs. Free touch-ups within six months on shop work if anything needs adjustment after healing. Full steps live on our tattoo aftercare page.
