Small tattoos at Rose and Crown Tattoos in Kyle usually start around $80 to $150, depending on size, detail, and placement. A tiny symbol on your wrist costs less than a palm-sized piece with shading. We quote before we start. No surprises at checkout. Walk-in flash designs may have set prices on the wall. Custom small tattoos get a quick price at the counter. Check our tattoo pricing page for general ranges, then confirm with your artist.
Yes, walk-ins are welcome at Rose and Crown Tattoos Tuesday 10am to 4pm and Wednesday through Saturday, 11am to 7pm. Small tattoos are the easiest walk-in option because they take less time. Availability depends on how booked the day is. Arrive early, bring ID, and have a few backup design ideas. If all artists are in sessions, you may wait or book a same-day slot. Calling 737-222-5355 ahead saves you a trip if we are slammed.
You must be 18 or older with a valid government ID to get a tattoo at Rose and Crown Tattoos. We do not tattoo minors, even with parent permission. Bring your driver's license or state ID to your walk-in visit. No exceptions. This keeps our Kyle shop safe and legal under Texas tattoo laws.
A small walk-in tattoos take can take 45 minutes from start to finish. A fine line heart might be done in thirty minutes. A slightly larger design with light shading could take an hour or more. We build in setup and aftercare instructions too. Tell the front desk you are on a lunch break from Kyle Town Center or commuting from Buda. We will help you plan realistic timing.
Simple designs work best for walk-ins: hearts, stars, arrows, small florals, initials, dates, minimalist symbols, and flash art from our shop books. Fine line and tiny script are popular. Very detailed portraits or large pieces need an appointment and consult. Not sure? Walk in and browse flash with an artist. Our team will tell you honestly if your idea fits a walk-in slot or needs more time.
Yes. Rose and Crown Tattoos keeps flash sheets and pre-drawn designs for walk-in clients who want something quick and affordable. Flash changes over time, so what you see in the shop may differ from online photos. Pick a design, get a price, and often get tattooed the same visit. Flash is great for first tattoos, matching friend tattoos, or adding to a collection without a long design process.
Betty Rose, Daniel Whalen, Shannon Moxie, Amanda Boyd, and Jordan Joyes all take walk-in and small tattoo clients at our Kyle shop. Shannon and Jordan often handle fine line tattoos. Daniel and Betty do clean small black work. Amanda brings color and neo-traditional mini pieces. Whoever is available will give you the same high standards and quality work.
Walk-in tattoos are just as safe as booked appointments when done at a licensed, professional shop. Rose and Crown uses new needles, sterile setup, and proper aftercare instructions for every client, walk-in or not. We are veteran and woman owned, established 2019, with a reputation in Hays County for doing things right. Never get a walk-in tattoo from an unlicensed home artist. Come to a real shop.
Yes, matching small tattoos are a fun walk-in option. Bring your friend, pick simple matching designs, and check in together. Both of you need valid ID if you are getting tattooed. Call ahead if your group is larger than two so we can plan station time. Keep designs small so everyone finishes comfortably.
Bring a valid photo ID, your design idea or reference photos, and payment method. Wear comfortable clothes that expose the tattoo area. Tank tops for arm pieces, shorts for leg work. Eat a meal before you come so you do not feel faint. Avoid alcohol beforehand.
Small tattoos usually hurt for a shorter time, but pain depends on placement more than size. Ribs, feet, and fingers sting. Outer arm and calf are milder for most people. A fifteen-minute tattoo still has moments of discomfort. That is normal. Our artists work fast and clean on small pieces. Tell us if you need a breather.
Small cover-ups sometimes work as walk-ins, but most need a free consultation first. Covering old ink takes planning. If your old tattoo is tiny and very faded, walk in and ask. We will look. Dark or bold old work needs a booked session and a custom plan.

Your artist sends you home with our Extended Wear aftercare sheet and an open door if you need us. Keep the film on for three to five days unless your artist says otherwise. Remove it gently under running water and fragrance-free liquid soap. Wash with your hands, pat dry, and apply a thin layer of fragrance-free moisturizer. Your tattoo should not look wet. Wash daily for the next two to three weeks, and again if it gets dirty. Moisturize daily during that same window, but do not overuse lotion. Avoid swimming, direct sun, and soaking until healed. Do not pick scabs. Rose and Crown offers free touch-ups within six months on shop work if anything needs adjustment after healing. Full steps live on our tattoo aftercare page.
