Bring reference images, even if they are just photos from your phone or Pinterest saves. Write down any text you want included, exact placement on your body, and your size preference in inches if you know it. If you have allergies or skin conditions, mention those upfront. Bring a valid ID if you are getting tattooed the same day. Wear clothing that lets your artist see the area you want tattooed. Do not worry about having a finished design. Texas law requires you to be 18 or older to get a tattoo. Rose and Crown Tattoos checks valid government-issued photo ID for every client, no exceptions. We do not tattoo minors, even with parental consent. Bring your driver's license, state ID, passport, or military ID. If your ID is expired, we cannot proceed. This policy protects you and our shop. If you are visiting from out of town near Kyle or San Marcos, your home state ID works as long as it is current and shows your date of birth.
Custom tattoo pricing depends on size, detail, and placement. Small custom pieces start at our shop minimum. Medium work on your forearm or calf might run $200 to $400. Larger custom tattoos like a full sleeve or back piece are priced by the session or at an hourly rate your artist quotes during your free consultation. We ask for at least 48 hours notice when possible so your artist can offer the slot to another client. We collect a deposit for every tattoo appointment. Same-day cancellations may forfeit your deposit. We are flexible for emergencies and illness. Rescheduling is easy by phone or e-mailing your artist. Your custom design stays on file, so you do not start over when you pick a new date.
